PKU Family Potluck

Join us on Saturday, Nov. 15, 2014, from noon to 4 PM for a day of food and fun. We'll have a low-protein potluck, games and prizes for the kids and time to meet other PKU families to share tips and ideas.

The event will be at Faith Presbyterian Church, 12007 Excelsior Blvd. in Minnetonka. The MN PKU Foundation will provide fruit and vegetable platters along with a deli tray for our non-PKU attendees. Bring a PKU dish to share, and showcase your favorite recipe!

Puttin’ for PKU

 The 18-hole scramble style golf event was held on Thursday, September 18, 2014 at the Ridges at Sand Creek golf course.

Money raised by Puttin’ for PKU pays for:

•       Phe counting books, cookbooks, calendars, and other supplies provided by the PKU clinic at the Fairview Pediatric Specialty Care at the University of Minnesota;

•       Research through the National PKU Alliance and at the University of Minnesota into effects of PKU, improved treatments, home phe monitoring device, and a cure for PKU; and

•       PKU family events, camp and travel grants, and educational seminars.

Our event runs on volunteer power.  There are chances to volunteer before or during the event.  Volunteer before or during the event -- it's a great way to network with other PKU families.

As the date draws near, we will be seeking hole sponsors and donations for the event. Donated items or services will be used for raffles, silent auction, live auction, golfer prizes, etc.  They may include a wide variety of items or services.  All profits go directly into back to our PKU community.

The NPKUA hosted a national conference in July 2014 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

The Minnesota PKU Foundation sent several representatives.  For an update on conference highlights see ourNPKUA page.
